Tyrannosaur Tooth 0094 Tyrannosaur Tooth Tyrannosaur Tooth (indeterminate Tyrannosaur: Daspletosaurus or Gorgosaurus) Judith River Formation, ~79-75 million years old Fergus County, Montana, USA 2.6 inches long (straight line) This gorgeous large and robust tooth is complete down to the root, it displays some serrations, stunning enamel. It has a lot of character showing off some interesting feeding wear and wear facets all over the tooth, as well as some striations (see photo) that would likely have been the result of the day it broke from the Tyrannosaur’s mouth. With incredible preservation quality, this is truly a worthy addition to any collection! It would have come from a large adult or sub-adult tyrannosaur, most likely Daspletosaurus or Gorgosaurus. This tooth is 100% original with no restoration/filling, the only repair was very small bits at the base which were glued back together. Tyrannosaur teeth of the Judith River Formation can originate from one of three tyrannosaur genera: Albertosaurus, Daspletosaurus, or Gorgosaurus.
