★生誕100年イヤーの大本命! モダン・ジャズ創造者の一人、チャーリー・パーカーのこれまで知られていなかった未発表音源を多々含めたLA滞在時の貴重録音をまとめた2枚組が日本ではUHQCDでリリース!
●バードが主に活動したのは、生誕の地カンザスシティ、そして逝去したニューヨーク、そして短い人生の中で4度訪れたLA。その中の3度のツアーの間に録音されていたこれまで知られていなかった未発表音源、レアな音源をまとめた作品が本作。
●1945年にハリウッドにあった伝説のジャズ・クラブ、ビリー・バーグスでディジー・ガレスピーと共演した「ハウ・ハイ・ザ・ムーン」や「52丁目のテーマ」や、1948年にシュライン・オーディトリアムで開催された「ジャズ・アット・ザ・フィルハーモニック」コンサートでこれまで知られていなかった3曲の演奏も収録。また、さらに注目は、1952年7月にアルタデナの牧場で行われた、アーティスト:ジレイヤ・ゾーシアンが開いた悪名高い「裸のパーティー」(Naked Party)での全録音を収録しているということ。
●録音エンジニアのダグ・ベンソンが、これらの録音を可能な限り忠実に復元している。
●プロデューサーのジョン・バートンによる、これらの録音が行われた状況についての広範なエッセイ(日本盤には翻訳を掲載)と、バードがロサンゼルスに行ったときのめったに見られない写真がブックレットに掲載。
●日本以外ではレコード・ストア・デイ商品としてRSDショップのみの限定リリース。
●ジャケットに使用されているアートはジレイヤ・ゾーシアン1952年作の「オーケストラ」。

※本商品はオリジナルマスターが非常に古いため、経年劣化等によりテープの状態が悪く、全編でお聴きぐるしい個所がございます。現在入手し得るとても貴重な音源のため、本国より支給されたマスターを使ってそのままの状態で提供するものです。ご了承ください。

8. Refusal of items is not allowed after they arrive at our Japanese receiving point.

1. International Shipping

Air freight: If the arrival notice exceeds seven days and the status of the goods is not confirmed, a customer complaint will occur and the seller will not be able to report it.
